Part-Time Spanish Speaking Optometrist - Up to $90 per hour - Riverhead, NY


We are in need of a Part-Time Spanish Speaking Optometrist for an established private practice medical center in Suffolk County (Long Island) , New York. You will be the only OD at this office but work alongside multiple MD specialties.


Details:

  • Be busy day 1
  • See all ages
  • Great support staff including Tech
  • See 20+ patients a day depending on your comfort level
  • Updated technology - full scope; optos, autofractor, oct, phoropter, itonometer, slit lamp, digital eye chart, frames + lenses, a scan, b scan, visual field.
  • ECW EMR
  • Heavy Spanish speaking population
  • All techs speak Spanish too
  • Heavy medicaid population
  • No call schedule
  • Must speak Spanish fluently


Schedule:

  • 2 days a week part time with transition to a 4 day full time option in 3 to 6 months 
  • Monday - Friday days available 
  • Can work Sundays if you choose
  • Saturdays closed
  • Flexible days and hours! Choose your days
  • Option for 8 hour or 10 hour day
  • Open 6 AM -10 PM
  • Preferred work 1 early day and 1 late day biweekly


Compensation:

  • $80-$90 an hour
  • Can do w2 or 1099
  • 1/2 day off on your birthday!
  • Part time ODs will be off on Jewish holidays and if your schedule falls on a day that is off you will be paid PTO
  • Malpractice paid

**All states require optometrists to be licensed. The ideal candidate must have obtained an O.D. degree from an accredited optometry school and must have completed all sections of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry exam.**
